Many a time decisions are made and never explained…( historically speaking). going to be very interesting as well , I hope, informative. IMO, the board has been highly proactive up till now, and I hope this continues. That said, it will be like turning an oil tanker through a 180 degrees. I.E, not gonna be easy.🤞🤞🤞

Whether they will touch on it or not, the whole new army of young fans and huge numbers of fans at important at big games last season must be a factor. Attendenace went up about 300%, but we let these crowds down in almost every big game after we beat United at Starks. That has to be a factor, as they will be left feeling a bit disillusioned.

Tough listen. Thanks for the memories but understand this is a results driven business - hope IM finds a job rapidly. If we are really that well off without immediate budget pressures - please fix the lavs in the TH stand. Still think we are about to see a Hanlon/Stevenson management team.

AB comes across well on the interview. Although there is very much a likeness to many a politician.🙄.
A lot of platitudes, no real criticism and certainly none against players, who at the end of the day, are the ones that win,lose or draw.
No doubt in my mind that he had lost the dressing room.
That pretty much sums it up…….WHY though, is the real reason.?
New broom will come in and although there will be a signing or 2…….it is them that are already here that have to step up. It is the players who have not produced the goods. And they have to accept some responsibility, otherwise, nothing will change.
I pray that between the board and new coach, that between them they can motivate the squad to produce what we mostly know they can do……when they stand up together and play as a team and not as individuals.🤞🤞🤞🤞

A huge thank you to the volunteers of Raith TV to be able to film and edit this vital interview to explain the boards thinking and actions. Whilst being very surprised at the board’s announcement yesterday, I fully understand the reasons behind it. The fantastic results the manager and team delivered pre Christmas last year were totally wiped out by a disastrous period starting with a freak goal by a part time Arbroath goalkeeper playing in midfield and scoring from 30 yards, followed by a number of defeats in a row which totally wiped out our advantage in the league. Some ridiculous results, particularly the 3 2 defeat from a doomed Arbroath with us previously being 2 goals up and on easy street were unacceptable. This bad run of form was masked by some decent results particularly in the playoffs where we did well to reach the playoff final. The faults we have had since Christmas I.e. teams knowing inside out how we play, our inability to change how we play, the fact we still only have one centre forward at the club (who unfortunately always seems injured and or doesn’t fit into the one man up front no supporting player way we are set up to play), Decisions such as selling Gullan and bring in a loanee last season but not signing a striker close season leaves us far weaker up front with no attacking threat whatsoever. For the sake of continuous improvement I can see why the board have acted, and I sincerely hope whoever replaces Ian Murray can resolve these issues quickly and get us back on track to where we want to be. Here’s hoping!

Firstly thanks to Raith TV for the interview
Thought Andy Barrowman spoke well and very measured.A lot he said regarding results,performances not meeting expectations since Utd game probably mirrors opinions by a fair proportion of those on here and in the stands so totally understand what they have done
Reading between the lines they have somebody lined up or know who they want.Good to hear that paying off Ian Murray will have no impact on budget for further signings
Onwards and upwards and important supporters get behind the team and club

Several things come across here, one is that the board had condisdered whom they would pursue if IM left for another job, resigned or they had to dismiss him. From the interview, it seems that they don't just have one or two speculative notions, but that some groundwork has been done already with one or more individuals. Less conspicuous is the hint that maybe IM had a budget available to add to the squad, but chose not to make use of it in the meantime.

1 more thing I would like to say, The fans who attend matches both home and or away, must play their part in lifting the team.
Supporters can either be “ re-active and/ or Proactive. The point is, get behind the team from the off, cheer EVERY tackle, cheer the attempts to tackle, cheer the efforts of the players. To groan when a player attempts a shot that is saved or off target only serves to make a player feel “ down” and less likely to make another attempt in case they fail to hit the target.
Confidence in football is thee biggest factor leading to good performances.
Last season, particularly in the 1 st half where the team was bouncing with confidence, was EXACTLY why they were playing well with nobody hiding and everyone was wanting the ball.
Supporters play a HUGE part which supporters themselves MUST acknowledge , coz if you don’t,you just sit there quietly and go nuts when the team scores.And the reverse when a pass goes amiss or the target ( player or goals) is not hit.
Ask ANY PRO AT ANY SPORT…….do fans lift you? The answer is yes. And the exact opposite is also true if the fans stay quiet.
Whomever takes over, from this next game going forward……..make some noise, and make it the norm, not just when the ball hits the back of the net. Get intae them…..get intae them……get intae them…….till yer hoarse.👏👏👏👏

I guess I am as shocked as most on here with this news.
I find my thoughts conflicted between thinking it was the right thing to do, then thinking the opposite? On one hand we have watched a few games when we ask, where have the really good/great performances of 2023 gone? We have to admit to our team falling below par recently. We have all seen other Managers lose their jobs for bad performances. If however we look at this season alone, IM has not had the opportunity to play all his “strongest eleven” in any of the games thus far. This due to several players injured. So he could argue his plan for improvement had yet to be put into practice?
The CEO’s briefing the other night was less than informative in my opinion. Andrew managed to talk for nineteen minutes without really saying anything meaningful. When asked about why the Board waited until now to sack IM, he said, “There had been regress both individually and as a group, but IM deserved the opportunity for us to be better”. Well IM might argue he did not get that opportunity given the injury problems I mentioned above?
Andrew went on to say, “I walk around this club every day and I see things, hear things, and feel things”. What does this ambiguous statement mean? What has he seen, heard, and felt that has made him, “Not trust IM to take us out of this current regression”?
However I think his biggest effective communications error has been the way he approached the players meeting. When asked how the team felt about the decision and did they agree, he said, “Whether they agree or not it doesn’t matter to me, that is their prerogative”. When asked how will the mood be lifted at the club, he went on to say, “Players are very simple beasts at times, they’ll come in and do their job and just get on with it”. How do players feel when hearing their CEO describe them as if their feelings don’t matter at a time like this? He then has the audacity to finish his interview with the club mantra “We stick together at this club”? I applaud the decision to communicate with the fans/customers of the club Andrew, however you need a serious lesson in man management. To unsettle the players, who are the people creating and delivering your company’s product to the fans/customers at a time like this shows a gross misunderstanding of how players/employees are motivated to do a good job for the company.
I say all of this as a poster who in the past has had high praise for this board. I understand the need to possibly change IM, however your delay in doing so, coupled with your recent ineffective communication on RTV leaves a lot to be desired.
You say time will tell whether this is a bold, or reckless decision? Let’s all hope it is the former sir.

Totally agree with the last post..a little bit contradictory..we stick together.. but not with the manager. Or the players..doesn't matter what the fans or the players think..hmm..don't think that's a good way to explain. I get the reasoning.but if IM had some backing for linger and given time. He may have turned it around.we have let a manager who finished higher than any other manager since Mcglynn 1st time around or before that Nichol...I fear it's against the family..we belong.. stick by each other mantra that's being pedalled. Slippery slope to lose the fans esp if the manager doesn't improve the team or results..

I have to disagree with this part of your post HR, as an ex pro himself, he will know exactly how the players are, he will have been there himself, probably several times (I haven't followed his career) so he will know, better than any of us, what the dressing room is likely to be like, how some players will or wont react. And I tend to agree with him, your boss has moved on, your new boss will be here shortly, just carry on with your work. We have all been there too so I don't have any issues with it. If a particular player wants to get a petted lip about it, I am sure they will be free to move on.
