Finlay Pollock

Raith Rovers Football Club is delighted to announce the season-long loan signing of talented attacking midfielder Finlay Pollock from Heart of Midlothian.

Finlay commented, “I’m delighted to be here, can’t wait to get started. I’m a forward thinking player that likes to be direct and will be looking to create as many goal-scoring chances as possible.“

Manager Neill Collins commented, “We are delighted to bring Finlay to the club on loan from Hearts. He has a great pedigree having been a key player for Scotland under 19s previously. Finlay is now ready to make an impact at first team level with his speed and ability to take players on 1v1. We feel Finlay brings attributes that will compliment the other strengths we have in our attack.“

The highly-rated 20-year-old joins us with a wealth of potential and the hunger to make his mark.

Finlay signed his first professional contract with Hearts in the summer of 2021, making his debut at just 16-years-old against Inverness in the penultimate game of Hearts’ 2020/21 Championship-winning season.

Known for his attacking flair, Finlay marked his breakthrough year by scoring his first senior goal for Hearts in a Premier Sports Cup tie against Stirling Albion in July 2021.

Since then, he has steadily grown his game, displaying creativity and vision in midfield and consistently praised for his athleticism, power, and determination.

A key feature of his game is his ability to create chances, as demonstrated by his six assists in just six appearances for Hearts B this season.

His overall career statistics include over 40 appearances, three goals, and an impressive fourteen assists, highlighting his creative influence in the midfield.

Finlay arrives at Stark’s Park eager to play a key role in our campaign and his combination of vision, technical ability, and work rate will no doubt bolster our squad as we continue to push for success this season.
