Signed up for another year. A good keeper who has done well any time he's had to step up to the plate.

Very good news. Andy deserves a run in the team

Whilst I am happy he has signed on, I think it's wrong for him. He's now 23, he's only going to kick on by playing regular games. I fully expected him to move on.

I agree, BP - it's difficult to see how he's going to improve without a lot more game time. Challenge Cup ties won't be enough, and he will not be picked ahead of Dabrowski on merit in the foreseeable future

23 is still relatively young for a keeper. They don’t normally peak until their 30s

23 is still relatively young for a keeper. They don’t normally peak until their 30s I peaked when I was twenty six. It only lasted two games, and I rapidly went down hill after that. Once a Guy in the crowd suggested he had seen a tree falling quicker than one of my attempts at going for a low ball! On a serious note though it is really good news for the Rovers that Andy is deciding to stay. It's only another year, so there is still time for him to make it bigger in football. I genuinely think the lad is showing future promise.

I wonder if Andy isn't playing the game of wondering if Big Kev doesn't get scooped come January or before. I certainly would like to see Kev extended, but if he was, I think Andy has to go next year in order to get playing time. Perhaps we might bring in another keeper so we can loan Andy out again, but I doubt it.
