Not sure about what SC got out of the Finland game, but I didn't learn a lot. I already knew that we have decent midfielders but are suspect in defence. Pleased that Shankland scored tho. Will he start against Germany ? I suspect that SC will go with Adams. RB /RWB really does worry me but I don't see any answer. Someone in the media suggested Scott McTominay there, as a means of playing as many of our quality players as possible. But we can expect to come under severe pressure ,defensively. I'd take a draw in a heart beat, wouldn't you?

Yes a draw would be brilliant a win better than brilliant but a loss at this level is unacceptable or do I mean inevitable 🤓

Decent middle to front but suspect at the back. Sounds familiar

We'll do well to get one if the first fifteen minutes is an indicator of how the game is panning out.☹️ I can see 4-0 being nearer the mark. Make that 5 now that the second has gone in.

Reality kicking in big time. This is getting awfully embarrassing on a world scale. Lots of drowning of sorrows in Marienplatz tonight and tomorrow. Personally I think Clarke has his tactics all wrong but hey ho! it's too late now. Germany has turned up. We haven't been allowed to. It's that simple. ETA This has all the makings of the Uruguay 7-1 defeat in the World Cup 70 years ago back in 1954 except we'll not be getting the one!

3-1 Germany at a stroll, anything other we are kidding ourselves 5-1 at a stroll going on 7 or 8. As expected totally out classed and out thought regarding tactics. Hate to say it but continue with performances and tactics similar to tonight and everyone will be home before the postcards.

I seriously do not believe that the coaching system in Scotland is anything other than a “ tick boxing exercise” as indeed many other things are in our country.
All our managers/ coaches et Al have coaching badges, not worth the paper they are written on.
We need to get back to basics, less about how to cheat/ con Refs and much, much more about the technical and awareness of players use of the ball.
Our players are NOT COMFORTABLE on the ball. It is a case of “ get rid” “ pass the parcel” and get stuck intae them……..small minded and producing players with some technical ability but without the “ brain/ footballing “ INTELLIGENCE”. A few good results here and there are nothing but a sticking plaster and the SFA are happy to let this happen.
Our game needs an overhaul and if that means hiring good technical coaches from abroad to teach our so called “ experts, then so be it. Croatia are the same size as us and yet they punch way above their “ so called”;weight.
Unfortunately, the “ tartan army” do not score any goals……and the playing team themselves are not a lot better.
As proud as I am of my heritage, it appalls me as to how poorly our national team performs. A few good results here and there only papers over the cracks.☹️😔

Your spot on embow Lacked aggression and energy from the kick off and the marking or lack off for the first two goals was awful. The minute we lost the 1st one I felt even then our tea was out. Were Germany that good or is because we were so bad they looked good? Just have to accept we are 2 nd tier regards International level Still ,a win against either the Swiss or Hungary could see us still qualify Ps,postcards?

Spot on, Cuparman. And while we’re at it, ditch that terrible disco ‘boogie’ song. Cringeworthy and makes us an even bigger laughing stock.

After 1 bad result, the idiots are off the leash.🙄.
God knows what will happen to our “ reputation “ should further poor displays occur. Next match is an opportunity for the players and fans to gain some self respect.
IF, the coach cannot motivate his team to at least resemble what they are capable of, then I vote he goes and we bring in a foreign coach with some pedigree to try and turn around not only this team but the standard of coaching in Scotland.
Over the years we have produced some players with talent. Unfortunately they have not been of the caliber required at top international level.
Success is “ getting” to a tournament……..I don’t believe that is good enough.
The SFA have a lot to answer for imo.😡
edit to say, insufficient players of talent at the same time. The only time we really were able to compete was 1978, a class team that unfortunately thought they could do really well, but failed to prove it.🙁
